Christian’s Goal: Perfection Versus Sinlessness || No To Laodiceanism

Headlines today reveal that time is getting short. Probation is soon to close. Everyone must be ready for the 10 kings of the earth are now getting ready to unite in one mind to get ready to enforce the law to force everyone to worship a false sabbath day.

Rev  17:12      And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.   17:13   These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.  17:14   These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.

Adaptive Model of the Global World System
"The Club [of Rome] had its beginnings in April of 1968, when leaders from ten different countries gathered in Rome...The organization claims to have the solutions for world peace and prosperity...The Club of Rome has been charged with the task of overseeing the regionalization and unification of the entire world...

"The Pope is the ruler of the world. All emperors, all the kings, all the princes, all the presidents of the world are as altar boys of mine." - Priest D.S. Phelan, Watchman, June 27, 1912.

Seeing we have a short time left, we have to strive to reach the goal set before us.
Matthew  5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Human example of being perfect
Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil

Perfect
H8535 tam
Pious, dear, undefiled, upright

Upright
H3477 yashar
Straight, righteous, just

Job is a just and righteous man, does this mean he was a sinless man?
Proverbs 24:16 For a just [man] falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

The verse proclaims the just man falls as well. What is falleth?

Falleth –
H5307 naphal
To fall, cast down, overthrow, fall down, divide, rot

Seven – indefinite number H7651 sheba

Mischief – trouble, evil, grief, wickedness, sore, adversity, sad,

Example of someone who is not perfect:
Matthew 19:16            And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
19:17  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
19:18  He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19:19  Honour thy father and [thy] mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
19:20  The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet

What’s lacking?
Matthew  19:21           Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go [and] sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come [and] follow me.

The rich man thought he kept the whole law yet in reality he lacked one thing.

How do you become perfect?
2 Timothy 3:16           All scripture[is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:   3:17     That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works

James 1:22      But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

The word of God when applied to our lives can sanctify us and change our lives so we can reach unto perfection.

What is righteousness?
Galatians  3:6  Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness

Romans 6:16   Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Faith + works = righteousness

James 2:14      What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
2:18     Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
2:20     But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
2:22     Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
2:24     Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
2:26     For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

What is sinless?
1 John 3:4 – sin is transgression of the law

1 Peter 2:22     Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Jesus is the only Person who is sinless.

Sinlessness is our goal, but:
Romans 3:23   For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

1 John 1:10     If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Human nature is already a fallen nature, we have a battle today to make it to heaven in order to receive an incorruptible body.

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

We have to comply to be complete:
Proverbs 24:16            For a just [man] falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Romans 14:8   For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
3:8      I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

But if you do not perform the works of Philadelphia and being a part of the remnant church walking into the door of Philadelphia, you will become Laodicea.

What is laodicea:
Revelation 3:16          So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
3:17    Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked
3:18    I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
3:19    As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

“But I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.  And thou, Capernaum [Seventh-day Adventists, who have had great light], which art exalted unto heaven [in point of privilege], SHALL BE BROUGHT DOWN TO HELL…”  for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.  But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.’ At that time Jesus answered and said, “ I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things for the wise and prudent [in their own estimation], and hast revealed them unto babes’ [Matthew 11:21-25].
“And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto this place which I give to you and to your fathers, as I done to Shiloh.  And I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephriam’  [Jeremish 7: 13-15]… -Review and Herald, vol 3, p 69-70 (August 1, 1893) (Brackets by Ellen White)

Jer:23:1: Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!  saith the LORD.
Jer:23:2: Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
Jer:23:3: And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

True condition of the SDA Church:

"If the church of God becomes lukewarm, it does not stand in favour with God any more than do the churches that are represented as having fallen and become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird." Letter 35, 1898, p. 6-7

"We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted, and filled with every foul spirit, and cage of every unclean and hateful bird." Letter 51, 9/6/1886

"The world must not be introduced into the church. And married to the church, forming a bond of unity Through this means the church will become indeed CORRUPT AND AS STATED IN Revelation, a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Testimonies to Ministers p.265

"In amazement they hear the testimony that Babylon is the church, fallen because of her errors and sins, because of her rejection of the truth sent to her from Heaven." -Spirit of Prophecy, vol 4, p 424 or Great Controversy, p 606-607.

"Concerning Babylon, the symbol of the apostate church, He says to His ministers of judgment, "Her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double." Rev. 18:5, 6. -Christ's Object Lessons 178.4

"That these men should stand in a sacred place, to be as the voice of God to the people, as we once believed the General Conference to be--that is past". --The General Conference Bulletin, April 3, 1901, page 25

"As for the voice of the General Conference, there is no voice from God through that body that is reliable." -Manuscript 57, October 12, 1895 & Manuscript Releases, vol 17, p 178

"The church is in the Laodicean state. The presence of Christ is not in her midst." -Notebook Leaflets, p 99

Most common Traits and Characteristic of Laodicea:

  • Too knowledgeable to learn something new
  • Too high minded to listen to others
  • Too prideful to unlearn what they thought to be true
  • They defend Babylonian's system rather than uplift God's ways
  • They feel they don’t need to learn or know anything, they won't care what God's messengers have to say anymore
  • They believe they are complete and full
  • They brag about their achievements, wealth and fame
  • They cannot see their spiritual blindness
  • They accuse others of being unhappy and miserable yet they are the ones manifesting the very same accusation they charge others with
  • They are cold, lacking brotherly love yet claim they love their fellowmen
  • They think the latter rain is yet to come therefore proclaim that loud cry is yet to happen, a lame excuse to be lazy
  • They rely on other books and writings in their worship services and studies. Reason being is they cannot understand Scripture fully that they have to read and depend on other books they believe are original writings from the Prophet.
  • Their worship services are like rituals and scripted
  • They automatically trust what their pastors are saying. They do not bother check or investigate if their preachers words are true or false as per Scripture
  • They brag about being rich with money as indication that God has blessed them while those who are not in their level as with money or riches they call "cursed" or not blessed.
